This project allows volunteers to experience life in a children’s home by staying over for a weekend. Volunteers immerse themselves in the day-to-day responsibilities of the guardians and caregivers, gaining firsthand experience in caring for the children. This experience fosters a deeper understanding of the children’s lives, challenges, and needs, allowing us to provide more targeted support.
Mentor Me is a structured mentorship program designed to foster personal development in the children. Volunteers are paired with children based on age and gender, creating a safe space for conversations about life skills, career choices, mental health, and gender-specific issues. The program encourages candid discussions and provides the children with guidance on how to navigate personal and academic challenges.
E.S.C.A.P.E is a response to the growing concern of teenage pregnancies and sexual abuse. This program focuses on educating and sensitizing teenagers about the risks of premarital sex and the consequences of sexual abuse. Through seminars, visits to homes for teenage mothers, and social media campaigns, we aim to create awareness and provide support for victims. Our goal is to empower youth to make informed decisions while fostering a culture of responsibility and respect.
Ji-Xpress focuses on talent nurturing by providing children with opportunities to develop their abilities in music, dance, and art. Partnering with volunteer groups such as dancers, musicians, and artists, we create an environment where children can express themselves freely through the arts. Activities include simple choreography, music lessons, art workshops, and constructive play. This project aims to develop both the creativity and confidence of the children.
The Open Space is an initiative aimed at addressing mental health issues within the youth community. We provide an online platform where children, youth, and other stakeholders can have open discussions about mental health challenges. Experienced psychologists and therapists lead these discussions, offering guidance and solutions to those in need. The project seeks to break the stigma around mental health, encouraging open and safe dialogues.
KIOTA is our flagship long-term project, aimed at establishing a permanent community center that will serve as a hub for all our programs. The center will provide facilities such as a music/dance room, a computer room, a boardroom for counseling, and administrative offices. This space will allow us to better organize, strategize, and report on the progress of our projects, while also serving as a place for the community to meet and grow together. KIOTA is designed to ensure sustainability and long-term impact in the communities we serve.
